Joe Burns played a blistering innings against Melbourne Stars. He scored a 50 in the match with a six off Stoinis, but his innings ended as he suffered a groin injury the very next ball.

Burns hit four fours and a six to John Hastings in the 11th over of the innings. Even though Burns played good innings, his entry in 'Bash Bros' seems very tough. Lynn, who missed the match due to shoulder and hamstring complaints, tweeted and gave us an indication of it.

'Bash Bros' is a group of power hitters Lynn and Brendon McCullum in the BBL team Brisbane Heat. It is well known that Burns wants to be in the Bash Bros group and turn the double act into a trio. He many times referred the group as the "the three Bash Brothers" on social media in an attempt to gain public support for his entry.

When asked about if his innings was enough to earn him 'Bash Brothers' credentials?

"I think I got a one-day pass, 'Baz' (McCullum) said," Burns told cricket.com.au after play. "So I have to try and do it again next game."

But, the banter has caught fire as McCullum and Lynn have clearly shut down doors for Joe Burns.
