Watch: MS Dhoni and Hardik Pandya go against each other in a 100m dash

India are playing Sri Lanka in the second ODI at Chandigarh.

36 year old MS Dhoni edged out Hardik Pandya in a 100m dash

India and Sri Lanka are battling it out in the second ODI in Chandigarh with Lanka leading the series 1-0. India had lost the first ODI by 7 wickets in humiliating fashion and has so far had a good start in the second ODI.

Before the start of the play, Indian players were doing their warm-up exercises in the cold climate of Chandigarh and were going through running exercises. Meanwhile, Hardik Pandya and MS Dhoni were also doing their exercises, when it seemed like Pandya challenged the veteran Dhoni to a race.

Dhoni seemed to joke about it before starting running and Pandya, though caught unaware, and quickly drew level with Dhoni. Both the players seemed to be equally fast and the race went on for 100m or so. The race seemed to end in a tie, but the 36 year old MS Dhoni definitely had the edge on the younger Hardik Pandya.

See for yourself:

India lost the first ODI at Dharamsala after been dismissed for 112, batting first under seaming and swinging conditions. They were left 29/7 at one stage; after Suranga Lakmal picked his career best 4/13 and left the Indian batting in tatters. MS Dhoni scored 65 runs to take India to their final total and was the final wicket to fell.

Sri Lanka reached the total with ease, thanks to Upul Tharanga’s 49 runs at the top.
