The first ODI between India and Sri Lanka started in the most unexpected of ways in Dharamsala. The islanders won the toss and took full advantage of an early start and the seam and swing conditions. Sri Lanka tasted first blood in the ODI series having reduced India to 29 for 7 before MS Dhoni's brilliant half-century took India past the 100-run mark. India were cleaned up for 112 with Dhoni scoring 65.

This sudden collapse of the Indian batting line up which otherwise has been solid in recent times left Twitter shocked and shattered. Reactions started coming in straightaway as everyone tweeted in their thoughts.
