Delhi has reached the final of Ranji Trophy after defeating Bengal in the semi-final. They didn't give any hope to Bengal as they demolished them for 86 in the second innings and won the match by a huge margin of an innings and 26-run in Pune.

Delhi had scored 398 runs in the first innings on Day 3 in reply of Bengal’s 286. The Manoj Tiwary-led Bengal had no answer to Delhi's quality bowling in second innings. Skipper Manoj Tiwary himself confessed the decay in their batting let them down, as Bengal could only get to 86 in their second essay.

Only four of the Bengal batsman could get to a double-digit score. Navdeep Saini and Kulwant Khejroliya got eight wickets between them to secure Delhi a thumping victory and to march their way into the final.

The defeated side had only one fighter, Mohammad Shami who bagged a six-wicket haul in the first innings.

Following the victory, Delhi skipper Rishabh Pant took to his Twitter handle to congratulate the team. He posted a team photo and captioned it saying, “Great performance by the entire team…extremely proud of everyone’s performance Just one more match to go boys…@GautamGambhir #kunalchandela #dhruvshorey #nitishrana #himmatsingh #manansharma #vikastokas #navdeepsaini #vikasmishra #kulwantkhejroliya"

Delhi will be facing either Vidarbha or Karnataka in the final. They last won the championship in 2008 and they will have a chance this time to get the title.
