Hyderabad will be hosting an international match for the first time in 3 years | BCCIThings got out of control as fans jostled for tickets for the third T20I between India and Australia which will be played in Hyderabad’s Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium on September 25, 2022.

Australia is leading the 3-match T20I series 1-0 after winning the first encounter in Mohali, while the second match will be played in Nagpur on Friday, September 23.

Given that Hyderabad will play host to an international match for the first time after three years. a huge crowd had come to the Gymkhana ground to purchase tickets. A large queue of fans was captured waiting to get their hands on tickets.

But everyone spiraled out of control and a stampede broke out, with excited fans coming in excessive numbers and causing law and order issues. The police personnel present had to resort to lathi-charge in order to get the fans under control and the ensuing ruckus resulted in injuries to four people.

Apart from three T20Is against Australia, India will also play three more matches against South Africa before departing for Australia for the ICC T20 World Cup 2022 which begins on October 16 onwards. The Men in Blue will open their campaign against Pakistan on October 23 at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.

India has been pooled in Group 1 alongside Pakistan, South Africa, Bangladesh, and two qualifiers.
