Former India captain Gautam Gambhir got a massive surprise on his 38th birthday. If you are wondering the surprise was the fans crediting him for World Cup 2011 final win, then you are utterly wrong. The real surprise is a gift from his dear friend from across the border, Shahid Afridi.

The two cricketers, who share an exceptional bonding, may live far, but they always interact with each other through tweets, or sometimes even in media. What better than showing your love openly?

Talking about the gift, Gambhir received a birth certificate to get his age cut short by six years. If sources are to be believed, Rashid Khan of Afghanistan had received the same gift from Afridi. Thankfully Prithvi Shaw hasn't got it, or he would be turned into a newborn by former Pakistan cricketer.

Afridi wanted to send a bat, but he couldn't pack the gift correctly with closed eyes. Why closed eyes? Well, he doesn't use his eyes with the bat in hand. Gambhir thanked Afridi for the gift but said he has no plan of returning from retirement.

When asked if he would also send a gift to Afridi on his next birthday, Gambhir replied, "Yes, I will. Probably a ticket to Kanpur to settle things where it all started."

Farzi Times reporter wanted to continue the interview, but Gambhir stopped him and told, "for full interview, sham ko mil." Our reporter will reach his house with Manoj Tiwary in the evening.

(NOTE: The article is just for fun, and it is entirely fictional. Exchange gifts, not abuses. #Peace )
