India defeated Bangladesh by four wickets to lift the 2018 Nidahas Trophy on Sunday. Captain Rohit Sharma led from the front as he scored a match-winning 56.

However, the hero of the game was Dinesh Karthik who scored 29* off 8 balls, including a last ball six to seal the match.

India needed 12 runs to win from the final over bowled by Soumya Sarkar. But they just managed three runs from the first three balls, but that was followed by a four by Vijay Shankar. Later he was caught on the long off and that bring Karthik on strike with 5 needed off last ball. The wicket-keeper batsman smashed a six over extra cover and won the game for India.

Rohit posted on Facebook after India lifted the trophy. He suggested that Bangladesh mistook them as rat and they turned out to be mongoose who were too much for the snakes.
