Results summary of the Vijay Hazare Trophy 2018.

Indian domestic cricket’s premier One-Day competition, the Vijay Hazare Trophy 2018 went underway on 5th February with all the domestic teams participating for the crown of One-Day champions. The teams are divided into four groups and top two teams from each of the groups will qualify for the QFs.

Here is the summary of matches on 15th Feb:

KERALA V UTTAR PRADESH

Rohan Prem - Kerala

Kerala batted first and scored 261/9 with Rohan Prem making 66* and KB Arun Kathick making 54. Mohsin Khan picked 4/43 for UP. UP folded for 141, with Mohd Saif (31) and Upendra Yadav (22), scoring majority of runs. Warrier picked 3/32 and KC Akshay picked 3/32 to give Kerala win by 120 runs.

HIMACHAL V DELHI

Prashant Chopra - Himachal

Prashant Chopra hit 150 with 22 fours and 2 sixes and AR Kumar hit 52 as Himachal put up 304/5 in 50 overs.  Delhi replied in kind with Rishabh Pant hitting 135 in 93 balls with 16 fours and 5 sixes and Nitish Rana making 52. Pradeep Sangwan kept them in the hunt with 17, but Ishant Sharma got run out of the last ball and Himachal’s won by 2 runs, as Delhi was dismissed for 302.  Rishi Dhawan picked 3/38 for HP.

MAHARASHTRA V TRIPURA

Ruturaj Gaikwad

MB Mura Singh’s 55, SK Patel’s 38 and JR Banik’s 34 were the main scored in Tripura’s 222/7 against Maharashtra. SS Bachan returned figures of 2/17, while PC Dadhe and DM Himganekar also took two wickets each. Maharashtra chased down the target easily as Ruturaj Gaikwad hit 115 with 9 fours and 4 sixes and Ankeet Bawane hit 51.

TRI 222/7 lost to MAH 223/6 by 4 wkts
