Rain spoiled the 2nd T20 match between NZ vs WI at Bay Oval where the forecast of 3rd match of T20 for West Indies vs New Zealand is not good at all. Colin Munro show his explosive class against Islanders. Martin Guptill out of form continues as he dismissed cheaply once again. New Zealand is set for a high score before rain interrupted the match. The same formula of changing the squad for Black Caps continues as Trent Boult is set to return for the 3rd T20. Boult misses first two T20 due to rest aside. West Indies has last opportunity to win 3rd T20 as it is the last match of their tour. New Zealand will be looking for another series victory. It’s a do or die match for West Indies as there is series on the line. Carlos army is ready to lift their side from another defeat.

Best economical pick – Seth Rance was handed over a debut by New Zealand in the first T20I. He had a great day as the most dangerous batsman Chris Gayle was snaffled by him and soon foxed Chadwick Walton off the next delivery. It was a dream debut for him as he picked a huge wicket of Gayle who has the ability to turn the game on its head. Rance came back later in the game and fittingly picked the last wicket of Samuel Badree and bowled Windies out for 140. He finished with the figures of 3/30.

Top captains & vice captains – Colin Munro decimated the Windies bowlers as he brought up an 18-ball 50 in the second T20I at Bay Oval. Despite getting a good start when the Windies managed to get the wicket of Martin Guptill in the first over itself, Munro came at No. 3 and feasted on the poor deliveries of the bowlers. Eventually, he notched 66 off 23 balls which consisted of 11 fours and three sixes. His half-century is the second-fastest for New Zealand in T20s, behind his own record of 14 deliveries. Glenn Phillips was named the Man of the Match in the first ODI for his half-century with the bat and four dismissals behind the wickets, one of them being an excellent catch to send back the dangerous Gayle.

Smart pick – Left-arm spinner Mitchell Santner has been in great touch for New Zealand in the T20Is. He has been wily and hasn’t allowed the batsmen to take him for runs.

Cautious Pick – After being inserted to bat first by the West Indies skipper Carlos Brathwaite, the Black Caps didn’t have a great start in the second T20I as Martin Guptill played a rank bad shot on the 4th ball of the very first over and was dismissed at the score of 2.

My XI – Colin Munro (Captain), Glenn Phillips (Vice-Captain), Mitchell Santner, Seth Rence, Andre Fletcher, Tom Bruce, Trent Boult, Samuel Badree, Chris Gayle, Kane Williamson, Shimron Hetmyer
