IND v SL 2017: 2nd T20I – India looking good to seal the series; while SL looks at another battle with wrist spin

Sri Lanka lost the first T20I at Cuttack by 93 runs, there worst defeat by runs ever in T20Is.

Yuzvendra Chahal and Kuldeep Yadav combined for figures of 8-0-41-6 to skittle Sri Lanka's batsmen out

India had a perfect day out in Cuttack during the first T20I against Sri Lanka, as they demolished the opposition by 93 runs to go 1-0 up in the 3 match series.

India’s top order fired, middle order gave those runs and MS Dhoni provided a brilliant finish with a last ball six. Though the dew was there on the ground, the Indian spinners proved to be much more effective as both Chahal and Kuldeep kept taking wickets at regular intervals and SL was bowled out for 87.

Now moving to the Holkar Stadium, Indore, the viewers and crowd in the ground will expect another run feast. India will be looking at their batsmen and spinners to provide them with one more picture perfect match that will bring them the win in the T20I series as well.

This match might see India giving their IPL stars a go and Deepak Hooda and Mohd Siraj might get a chance to impress the selectors for the upcoming limited overs leg of South Africa series.

Sri Lanka on the other hand, needs to find a way to counter the threat of wrist spin. Currently they are collapsing in a heap, instead of staying there and fighting.

Sri Lanka also needs to win this match to keep the series alive or end their 2017 with another series loss against their name.
