The third Ashes test of five-match series is starting tomorrow at WACA, Perth before that team Circle of Cricket is looking at a key battle which will spice up the Ashes contest a bit. Previously it was very much the same players who kind of dictated the game throughout. The third match at Perth is expected to be nothing different but a battle between two great sides. The victory depends on how the key players from each team play and perform their best.

So here is the key battle before the start of third Ashes test that starts tomorrow.

Alastair Cook vs Mitchell Starc

The contest between these two will be attracting a lot of eyes tomorrow as Cook is the senior player in England's batting line-up and Mitchell Starc one the best bowler Australia has ever produced. Alastair Cook has to perform tomorrow to save England chances where Mitchell Starc is brilliant with his fully pitched yorkers and 14 wickets already in his bag, Mitchell Starc has edge over England's opening batsman.

Joe Root vs Pat Cummings

The battle between these two will also be a treat for Ashes lovers because the bowler has already dismissed England skipper 2 out of 4 times in this series. Pat Cummings in an interview labeled Root's wicket as one of his dream test wickets. Pat Cummings will win the battle against Joe Root because of his lower order batting skills that he showed in second Ashes test with Shaun Marsh. Root has to pull up his socks in the coming test to produce a different scenario.

David Warner vs James Anderson

The battle between both the senior and experienced players in the team is hard to say as both the players have done well in their cricketing career. Their battle commenced in Ashes 2013 with James taking Warner's wicket two to three times and Warner also scoring with an average of 50 plus. Left three matches will be very crucial for both of them and we hope they can keep up the spirit of the game.

Steven Smith vs Stuart Broad

One another important battle is between Steven Smith and Stuart Broad. The numbers speak for themselves as they have performed brilliantly in the first two matches. Steven Smith match-saving knock of 141 was extraordinary with Stuart Broad being the highest wicket taking bowler for England in recent matches. The battle between Smith and Broad will be fascinating to watch from the first ball of the match.

Moeen Ali vs Nathan Lyon

The battle between the spinner will be rolling out a lot of eyes because Moeen Ali and Nathan Lyon will be trying hard to turn their deliveries to take another batsman out on a fast pitch of Perth. On talking about the battle between the spinners Lyon has a slight edge over Ali because of his ability to clinch quick wickets at a crucial point but Moeen Ali can be heavy with his bat in the third test.

These battles between the players are definitely going to spice up the remaining matches with players like Cook, Root, and Anderson in the team England would like to end up on the right side of the match and guard them with a win in the third test whereas Australia has done well enough to secure the Ashes 2017 trophy.
