CWC 2019: Fantasy Prediction Match 20, SL v AUS

Dream 11 Prediction for Match 20 of ICC CWC 2019

Dimuth Karunaratne and Aaron Finch | GettyWith two weeks passed away since the World Cup opener, the rain has played a spoilsport in four matches already, Match 18 of the tournament between India and New Zealand was washed out and a point was awarded to both the teams. With this New Zealand have kept their hold on the no.1 spot in the points tally.

Match 20 of the tournament will testify Australia and Sri Lanka.

Australia is currently at no. 2 spot in points tally with three wins in four matches, whereas on another hand Sri Lanka is on no. 5 spot with four points despite just a single win in same number of matches, but with two points owing to rain which provided them points equivalent to a win.

Sri Lanka played their last match 10 days ago: courtesy rain, and have failed to put an impressive show so far in two completed matches they have played, whereas Australia had displayed an aggressive and dominant cricket.

The previous record is likely to favor Australia as these two have faced each other 10 times in World Cup history, and Sri Lanka has managed to win just two games including one walkover.

Team News

Sri Lanka

It's been 10 days since they played their last match in the World Cup, Sri Lanka might be hoping to start afresh after their dismal performance on the ground.

In their completed games they didn’t appear to be a challenging side, but with still five matches left, they can change their perception with a solid performance against Australia.

Bowling department has so far discharged their duties with decent performances, but the batting order needs a repair, as only Kusal Perera and skipper Dimuth Karunaratne have succeeded to get some runs, others have miserably failed, they will hope for better performance from the middle order to put a challenge against good looking Australia.

Australia

Appearing to be a strong contender for one of the final four spots, Australia will look to consolidate their favorable position in points tally and will just look to pedal it against Sri Lanka to gain an early advantage.

Australia is still yet to show their best, but what goes in their favor is they are still winning games, and slowly players have started to step-up in parts.

Top order is doing a terrific job with sound start in every match, only Usman Khawaja has so far not been able to put some impressive performances on display, but there are many who are overshadowing the same.

Mitchell Starc led bowling department has done a tremendous job so far.

Mitchell Marsh has been kept on standby, for injured Marcus Stoinis.
