ENG v IND 2022: WATCH – Sanjana Ganesan trolls England team after hubby Jasprit Bumrah decimates hosts in 1st ODI

Bumrah returned with the figures of 6 for 19 in his 7.1 overs in the first ODI.

Jasprit Bumrah | GettyTeam India’s pace spearhead Jasprit Bumrah produced a devastating spell to decimate the England batting line-up in the first ODI at Kennington Oval, London on Tuesday (July 12).

After the visitors opted to bowl first, Bumrah tore apart the English top-order, removing Jason Roy (0), Jonny Bairstow (7), and Joe Root (0) in quick succession to put the hosts on the backfoot. His next victim was Liam Livingstone (0) as India reduced England to 26/5.

In his second spell, Bumrah knocked over Brydon Carse (15) and David Willey (21) to return with the career-best ODI figures of 6 for 19 in 7.1 overs. It was also the third best bowling figures by an Indian in the 50-over format.

As a result of his sensational spell, the tourists bundled out England for a paltry 110 in 25.2 overs and then overhauled the target with 10 wickets in hand.

After Bumrah ran through the English batting line-up, his wife and presenter Sanjana Ganesan trolled the home team and fans outside the stadium.

Disappointed by their batting display, England fans went to the food court where 'Duck Wrap' was on the menu.

Sony Sports Network posted Sanjana's video on Twitter with the caption: "While our bowlers bagged some s on the field, @SanjanaGanesan 'wrap'ped up some s off the field at #TheOval."

In the clip, Sanjana said: "The food area is a busy place and is filled with English fans because they don't want to watch cricket. There are plenty of stores here but we have come to a story that not a lot of English batters would like to come to as it is called the 'Crispy Duck'. We have got a 'Duck Wrap' as we want to see how the duck is off the field because on the field the ducks on the field have been absolutely fantastic."

The second ODI between India and England will be played at the iconic Lord’s Cricket Ground on July 14.
