India's wicket-keeper batsman Rishabh Pant has returned to the team after recovering from COVID-19. He had tested positive for the novel Coronavirus on July 8 and was kept in isolation while being closely monitored by the BCCI Medical Team.

Pant missed out on the three-day warm-up match against Select County XI. But now he has completed his mandatory isolation period of 10 days as per the UK guidelines and joined the Indian squad on Thursday (July 22) for the upcoming England Test series.

Team India head coach Ravi Shastri posted a picture with Pant on social media. He expressed his delight on his return and said the dressing room is already noisier with his presence.

"Covid return back in the house. Brilliant. Noisier dressing room already @RishabhPant17 #TeamIndia," Shastri tweeted.

Before joining the squad, Pant underwent COVID-19 and cardiac tests on Monday. He had tested positive for the virus during the team's 20-day break post the World Test Championship final against New Zealand in Southampton.
