Ahead of the upcoming Pakistan Test series at home, Australia head coach Justin Langer has on Tuesday, November 19, backed David Warner to come good in the two-match Test series starting Thursday (November 21) at the Gabba after 2019 Ashes nightmare in England.

Warner had a horrific Ashes series as the opener managed just 95 runs in his 10 outings against England, although, Langer has shown great faith in the destructive batsman, saying he is eager to see him bat at his dangerous best form in this summer.

The head coach admitted that the left-hander had a tough time during the Ashes, but still he is Australia’s batting mainstay and once he found his foot on the field, there is no more dangerous player in the world than Warner.

As per reports in cricket.com.au, Langer said of Warner: “I cannot wait to see him play well. When he simplifies the game, stays still and watches the ball, keeps his mind clear, we know there's no more destructive player in the world, probably.”

Langer signed off by saying, “He loves batting in Australia, he loves batting, basically. We are looking forward to him having a great summer. I know how important he is to our team, that's why I had no doubt after the Ashes that he'd be in the first Test of the summer.”

Australia squad for Pakistan Test series:
