The Australian side will go into the fifth Test at the Kennington Oval in London leading the series 2-1. They have brought in all-rounder Mitchell Marsh to provide the extra bowling option after a long and tiring series.

Australia have made only one change to their first twelve for the fifth and final Test in the Ashes series. They have dropped Travis Head and included the younger Marsh brother. The series has been gruelling and the bowlers might not be able to deliver the goods at full throttle once again. Hence, Australian skipper Tim Paine thought of adding a bowling option to their side.

Head became the scapegoat after scoring just 191 runs in 8 innings at an average of 27.29 in this series. However, Matthew Wade, who has scored just 10 runs more than him and averages less by 2 runs per innings, has been given another Test. Head was obviously disappointed at being left out despite being one of the best in the current lot of Australian batsmen.

Paine said, “The reason Travis isn’t playing is because we felt we needed extra bowling after a long series. We want to get the make-up right for this Test and unfortunately Travis misses out. He's disappointed he's not playing. No doubt he's in the top six or seven batsmen in this country.

The Aussies have retained the four-man bowling attack that played the Manchester Test and Peter Siddle in the twelve.

The visitors will be eager to finish off the series on a high note. The fifth Test starts on Thursday (12 September).
