England was unable to win the Ashes series as they have conceded an unassailable 2-1 lead to Australia in the ongoing Ashes series with just one match to go. England announced their squad for the fifth and final Test starting from 12 September at the Kennington Oval in London.
The England team management believes that they need not make any changes in the squad that lost the fourth Test at Manchester. The England batting line-up looked inefficient to tackle the Australian pacers and score some runs against them.
It would have been more sensible to make changes to the XI if there was a chance of winning the series or retaining the Ashes. However, it looks like they just want to get something more out of their players that have already been trying to put a fight against the visitors.
