WI v IND 2019: West Indies replaces Miguel Cummins with Keemo Paul for Jamaica Test

India won the first Test in Antigua by a margin of 318 runs.

West Indies has replaced Miguel Cummins with Keemo Paul for the second and final Test of the ongoing series against India, beginning this Friday (August 30) in Jamaica.

Paul, who couldn't take part in the first Test due to an ankle injury himself, seems to have recovered in time and is now available for selection, said a release from Cricket West Indies (CWI) on Wednesday.

Miguel did look in discomfort while playing the first Test in Antigua but the exact reason why he misses out this game hasn't been clarified. The right-arm pacer delivered 20 wicket-less overs in West Indies' 318-run loss. He was always second in the pecking order to Paul, it seems.

Meanwhile, first-choice wicketkeeper batsman Shane Dowrich has returned to Barbados to continue his rehabilitation after being ruled out of the series with an ankle injury.

And though, Shai Hope filled in aptly behind the stumps for Dowrich, the selectors have kept gloveman Jahmar Hamilton in the squad.

India gained crucial 60 points towards the World Test Championship after winning in Antigua.

West Indies squad (updated): Jason Holder (captain), Kraigg Braithwaite, Darren Bravo, Shamarh Brooks, John Campbell, Roston Chase, Rakheem Cornwall, Jahmar Hamilton, Shannon Gabriel, Shimron Hetmyer, Shai Hope, Keemo Paul, Kemar Roach.
