Mithali Raj achieved a historic feat in T20I cricket on Thursday (November 15), as she surpassed Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma’s tally of runs to become the highest run-scorer in the shortest format for India.
With 2283 T20I runs to her name, Mithali is now ahead of Rohit and Kohli, who have piled up 2207 and 2102 runs in the shortest format respectively.

During the course of her 51-run innings, Mithali also overtook men’s Twenty20 International record held by New Zealand’s Martin Guptill with 2271 runs.

Taking to Twitter, she expressed her gratitude towards Hrithik and Madhuri on Friday (November 16).
