The 2018 ICC Women’s World T20 will start with the Group B match of India taking on New Zealand at the Providence Stadium in Guyana.

India has not made the semis since the 2010 edition and in the previous edition, they won just one game, beating Bangladesh.  They are grouped with Australia, Pakistan, and Ireland apart from the white ferns in Group B.

The Indian team have won two and lost three matches to the New Zealand team in their last five encounters. The Indian squad is led by Harmanpreet Kaur and features veterans like Mithali Raj, Smriti Mandhana and Harmanpreet herself with young guns like Pooja Vastrakar, Jemimah Rodrigues and Taniya Bhatia.

For the white ferns, Suzie Bates and Sophie Devine along with skipper Amy Satterthwaite will be the players to watch out for. Leigh Kasperek is one of the leading all-rounders in the world and someone Indian team must be wary of.
