Farmers are protesting against three agricultural bills | TwitterFarmers’ protest has been grabbing headlines at the Delhi-Haryana border since last one week, with many Indian celebrities also supporting the demonstration.

Interestingly, former England spinner of Indian origin, Monty Panesar, on Saturday (November 28) expressed solidarity with the farmers and shared his two cents on the farm bills passed by the BJP government.

Showing dissent against the three agricultural bills passed by the central government in September, thousands of farmers from Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh have reached the national capital.

In the process, they had to face multiple rounds of tear gas shells and water cannons at the Delhi-Haryana border.

Panesar, who represented England in 50 Tests and 26 ODIs, took to Twitter to talk about the protest.

“What happens if the buyer says the contract cannot be fulfilled because the quality of crop is not what was agreed , what protection does the farmer have then? There is no mention of fixing a price??!! @BJP4India @narendramodi #kissanprotest #kissanektazindabad,” he wrote.

Veteran India off-spinner Harbhajan Singh also tweeted regarding the same on Sunday (November 29).

“Punjabi youngsters clean road at Delhi Border ‘We don’t want people of Haryana and Delhi to say that Punjabis came and made a mess here’,” he stated.
