She struck thrice in the 7th over, twice in the 9th and wrapped up the Maldives innings in the 11th over. The medium pacer bowled just 2.1 overs and sent all of her six victims back to the pavillion for ducks. She also claimed a hat-trick of the last three balls she bowled.

With this phenomenal performance, Anjali also became the owner of best ever bowling figures ever in T20I cricket – men or women.

While Mas Elysa of Maldives had previously held the record with figures of 6 for 3 in women’s cricket, India's Deepak Chahar (6 for 7) owns the record for the best bowling figures in men's T20I cricket.

Anjali Chand's stellar showing has given Nepal Women a perfect start to their South Asian Games cricket campaign. Apart from Nepal, Maldives, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka are participating in the competition.

Nepal is scheduled to play next against Bangladesh Women on Wednesday (December 4).
