The Indian skipper Virat Kohli was brilliant with the bat and in the field in the second ODI at the Queen’s Park Oval in Port of Spain as the Delhi based batsman scored his 42nd ODI century and took three catches as the visitors handed a 59-run loss (by DLS method) to the hosts West Indies.

After winning the toss for the fifth time in a row, the 30-year-old Kohli decided to bat first. Kohli’s superb knock of 120 runs along with Shreyas Iyer’s knock of 71 runs helped the visitors to post a target of 280 runs which proved to be too much for the Caribbean side.

Thanks to a good review by Sheldon Cottrell which overturned umpire Nigel Llong’s decision, Shikhar Dhawan had to go back early and skipper Kohli arrived to bat in the first over itself.

Along with a stylish century, Kohli’s three catches in the field helped India go 1-0 in the ODI series. Out of these three catches, the Indian captain’s catch to dismiss explosive opener Evin Lewis when he was patrolling in the covers stood out.

Here is the video of Kohli’s catch:

On the second delivery of 28th over, Kuldeep bowled a short-ball going away from the left-hander Lewis. The southpaw went for a big hoick over cover region. Lewis did not get the enough elevation and Kohli took a one-handed stunner to send him back to the dressing room.
