On Monday (August 12), Eid-Al-Adha is being celebrated across India and many other countries. A day that is also called the "Festival of the Sacrifice", is the second of two Islamic holidays celebrated worldwide each year, the other being Eid-Al-Fitr. On this day, an animal is sacrificed ritually and divided into three parts. One share is given to the poor and needy, another is kept for home, and the third is given to relatives.

Cricket fraternity like on most festivals, took to social media and greeted the fans, while wishing for peace and prosperity in everyone's lives.

The Indian team is currently touring the Caribbean and could not take part in the festivities back home, but that doesn't mean they did not celebrate. Left-arm fast bowler Khaleel Ahmed posted a video on his Twitter account, where his senior teammate Shikhar Dhawan is seen hugging him and wishing him 'Eid Mubarak'.

Meanwhile, Indian captain Virat Kohli tweeted his wishes for the fans as well, after playing a match-winning innings of 120 in the 2nd ODI in Port of Spain on Sunday. India won the match by 59 runs via DLS method.
