Jason Holder is hungry for more success despite a one-sided game which saw West Indies' gain a comprehensive win over England in the first Test at Kensington Oval, Barbados.

The Windies team won the match by 381 runs to go 1-0 up in the three-match Test series but their focussed skipper reiterated the importance of not going over the moon with celebrations and forgetting the relevant task ahead.

"I think we ticked a few boxes in this Test match. It's about turning up in Antigua and doing the same," said Holder after the match in which he struck his maiden double hundred in Test cricket, "One Test match doesn't make a summer. We've got two Test matches to go and have to make sure we close out the series."

The admirable all-rounder missed the tour of Bangladesh where West Indies were whitewashed 2-0 on rank turners. Hence, bouncing back collectively with a bang felt even better to him.

"It's been a while since I've been playing Test cricket and it's really good to come back in the game like this. I put a lot of hard work in just to get back to full fitness," the 27-year-old added.

Holder acknowledged the applauds from the packed crowd after his personal milestone with a roar and a jump. But didn't let emotion get the better of him at any stage.

"It's difficult to explain. A bit of emotion getting out. I've had a lot bottle up for a long time and I had the moment there to express myself a little bit. It's really pleasing to know I can bat whole sessions."

Roston Chase, who followed up his solid half-century in the first innings with a terrific spell of 8/60 during the second, also heaped praise on his captain and said, "Jason is a legend in my eyes. My long-term friend - I believe in him and he believes in himself. He's a warrior on the battlefield. It couldn't be no greater feeling to get that hundred."
