Khaleel Ahmed had a breakout season in 2018-19 season, when he performed so well for the Men in Blue, that he almost got himself on the plane with the team for the ICC World Cup 2019. It was unfortunate that he missed the chance narrowly, but he has another opportunity to make it to another ICC event, the T20 World Cup in Australia.

Khaleel has 73 wickets in 48 T20 matches with an economy of 7.96. in 10 matches in IPL, he has 19 scalps playing for Delhi Daredevils and Sunrisers Hyderabad. He has the advantage of being a left-handed seamer, something Indian team is lacking in its arsenal, given that he brings a different angle of attack in the bowling squad.

A brilliant performance for SRH in upcoming IPL 2020, might get the selectors interested in taking him to Australia for the ICC event.
