He was asked to open in IPL 2019 and showed how good he was when batting in his favored position and responded with 296 runs in 14 matches with four half-centuries and a best score of 76 at a strike rate of 124.36. He is a brilliant batsman who can bat anywhere needed and a gun fielder as well.

He will be looking forward to playing in IPL this season and impress enough to get a ticket to Australia for the ICC T20 World Cup.
