MS Dhoni shut his critics down after a blistering innings in the second T20I against South Africa. The former India skipper was criticized for his slow batting in the shorter format; but a vintage innings from him done enough to keep them silent.
He scored an unbeaten 52 off just 28 balls to take the tourists to 188/4 in Centurion on Wednesday.
Indian top order couldn't persist, but the middle order was ready this time to grab the opportunity. Dhoni and Manish Pandey put up a 98-run stand to take India to a fighting total of 188. However, the total wasn't enough and India faced a defeat by 6 wickets, which has leveled the series.
Talking about Dhoni's innings, fans were waiting for a storm from him for a long time. The wait was worth as it came in style.
The 36-year-old, in the 14th over of the Indian innings, danced down the track and hit the ball for a huge six, leaving the spectators open-mouthed.
India and South Africa will play the series decider on Saturday.
