Indian vice-captain Rohit Sharma finally got some runs after struggling big time on the South African tour. He scored 115 in the fifth ODI at St George's Park and helped India in winning their first ODI series against South Africa in South Africa.

The Indian opener was awarded Man of the Match award for his terrific performance. Rohit, who got married in 2015, dedicated the award to his wife Ritika Sajdeh as a Valentine's Day gift. Rohit had gifted Ritika a double hundred on their second marriage anniversary.

"I'm happy my wife is here with me on this special day. I know she would have liked this gift from me. She has been my strength. She has always been there for me. You go through so much stress in this sport, and having them around is always special," Rohit said at the post-match press conference.

Rohit was out of touch before the fifth ODI and had not scored more than 20 runs in any match before this. His score was 20, 15, 0 and 5. Rohit said he had ensured that he stayed in a good frame of mind despite not making big scores.

"I have been enjoying South Africa. It's a good place to play cricket. I knew I didn't have to change a lot and the runs would come," he said.

Dedicating his innings "Happy Valentine’s Day Rits @ritssajdeh," he captioned.
