SA v IND 2018: South Africa announces squad for T20I series; Duminy to lead

South Africa and India will also play a three match T20I series after the culmination of the ODI series. The matches will be played from February 18 to February 24, 2018.

South Africa announced the squad for the three match T20I series and it had some surprises. Some big names like Kagiso Rabada, Lungi Ngidi, Imran Tahir were missing from the squad and JP Duminy is set to lead the team, in place of Aiden Markram, who too was dropped from the shortest format of the game.

India dominated the Sri Lankans in the last T20I series they played before touring the South Africa. Despite losing the Test series, India have so far dominated the ODI series as well, garnering a 3-1 lead in the six match series so far.

The South African squad sees names of players like Dala, Smuts, Jonker and Paterson, who recently played for them. The squad also sees De Villiers, Shamsi, Miller and Phangiso back in the T20I side to face an in form Indian team.
