MS Dhoni is currently under fire because of his slow innings in the recent matches. Dhoni had failed to accelerate the innings even in the last ODI against South Africa when the team needed him to score quick fire runs.

The 36-year-old has not been in the same form he used to be and it's a big concern says former India opener Kris Srikkanth. He also expressed disappointment at the inability of Hardik Pandya to finish the matches in limited-overs.

The former India cricketer also showed his misery over Rohit Sharma's poor form in the current series. "The form of Rohit Sharma is a big concern and so is the strike rate and consistency of Dhoni and Pandya. Rohit is too good a player in this format to be missing out, especially in proper batting conditions," Srikkanth was quoted as saying by the Times of India.

"Dhoni failed to accelerate as he has in the recent past (in the fourth ODI). The former captain and Hardik Pandya could not have hoped for a more solid platform to launch an attack and get India to a massive score," he added.

Indian batting order couldn't capitalize the start Virat Kohli and Shikhar Dhawan gave them. Srikkanth pointed out the mistakes from the fifth ODI and said team depends heavily on Virat.

"This series has so far been all about Virat Kohli and one significant partnership with him in the middle (last three with Shikhar Dhawan). Once you take those numbers out, there is little else to show. Constant chopping and changing of personnel and the batting order is not helping the team's cause either," he said.

If India manages to win the fifth ODI, they will manage their first ever series victory over South Africa. The visitors are set to take on Proteas in the tth encounter at Port Elizabeth.

Indian team has not won a single game at this venue. Out of five matches they played, four of those defeats came against South Africa, while India lost and ODI to Kenya here during the one-day triangular as part of their 2001-02 tour.
