AB de Villiers has joined the South African team after missing first three ODIs because of a finger injury. He returned in fourth ODI and that has given the hosts a hope of leveling the series. One more defeat means South Africa will have to hand over the trophy to India.
If South Africa wants to win the remaining two matches, they will need the experienced De Villiers to fire for them. The fifth ODI will be played at St George's Park in Port Elizabeth on Tuesday.
De Villiers was seen practicing ahead of the fifth game. The explosive Proteas batsman was seen practicing with Tennis racquet, instead of a cricket bat. He can be seen hitting the Tennis ball in the video shared by ABP news on their Facebook page.
India's dream of a maiden ODI series triumph in South Africa fell short in the Johannesburg after the hosts stood tall in the rain-affected game. India had to face a 5-wicket defeat after their wrist spinner struggled to get them back in the game.
