India’s ongoing tour of South Africa has witnessed some spectacular pieces of brilliance on the field from both the sides. However, during the fourth ODI at Wanderers on Saturday (February 10), the fielding standard reached a different level altogether.

If the Proteas skipper Aiden Markarm’s one-handed screamer at extra cover to dismiss Hardik Pandya wasn’t enough, India pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar grabbed a stunner in the second half to get rid of Hashim Amla.

Bhuvi was standing inches away from the boundary ropes at deep extra cover when Amla checked his lofted drive off Kuldeep Yadav in the 15th over. Such was Bhuvneshwar’s presence of mind that he threw the ball in the air after realizing that the center of gravity will take him over the ropes. He then quickly recovered to grab it back. Bhuvi's superhuman effort restricted Amla's innings to 33.

Owing to Shikhar Dhawan’s 105-ball 109 and skipper Virat Kohli’s 83 ball-75, the Men in Blue had set a stiff target of 290 for the Proteas. However, the rain-break during South Africa’s innings meant that the revised target for the hosts is 202 in 28 overs. Heinrich Klaasen’s 27-ball 43 and David Miller’s 28-ball 29 ensured an easy 5-wicket victory for the home side with 5 wickets in hand and 15 balls to spare.

Even though India lost the fourth ODI, they are still leading the six-match ODI series by 3-1. The fifth ODI is slated to be held at St George's Park, Port Elizabeth on Tuesday (February 13).
