Virat Kohli has plundered a lot of runs on the tour of South Africa, even when his team-mates have struggled to adapt to the bouncy nature of the pitches. Kohli has scored three hundreds on the tour, including two in the first 3 ODIs.

Virat's consistency in ODIs continues to defy logic and his incredible conversion rate has resulted in 34 centuries and 45 half-centuries before the 'Pink Day' ODI at Wanderers today. His average now sits at almost 58 in a format where anything above 40 is considered to be a "great" average.

Virat is the only batsman to have an average of 50 in all three formats which describes how well he adapts to the challenges faced by a modern day batsman. His legacy to chase down targets is well established and is one of the major reasons teams look to avoid batting first against India.

At the age of 29, his best years are yet to come and one cannot possibly imagine the kind of records that he might set before he is done with the game. Sachin Tendulkar's one-day records that seemed out of touch for everyone a while back, now seems well in grasp of 'King Kohli'.

Kohli has played some stunning shots in recent times that have been etched in the memory of lovers of the game, and he added another one today during the 4th ODI when he dispatched Lungi Ngidi with a gorgeous lofted on-drive.

Here is the video of the shot that left everyone speechless:
