Team India will play a 3 match T20I series after the completion of the ongoing ODI series in which India are currently leading 3-0. The likes of Suresh Raina, Jaydev Unadkat and KL Rahul will leave for South Africa on February 11.
On the other end Mohd Shami, Kedar Jadhav and Shreyas Iyer will return to India post the completion of the ODI series.
Suresh Raina played his last T20I for India almost a year ago in February 2017 and his last ODI for India came more than two years back.
It will be an opportunity for Jaydev Unadkat to make his mark yet again in foreign conditions. Unadkat made his T20I debut against Sri Lanka last year. Having bagged a big deal at the IPL 2018 auctions with Rajasthan Royals, Unadkat is all confident of making an impact in the game's shortest format. He is certainly trying to be a specialist in the genre and a good performance in the T20I series will certainly help his confidence ahead of the IPL.
KL Rahul is the other player who is included in the T20I squad. Rahul too had a bad series against Sri Lanka. Rahul was included in the Test squad against South Africa and played the first Test. He did not get a place in the ODI squad and has been recalled in the T20I squad.
