India’s success in the ongoing six match ODI series against South Africa has been credited to three people- Virat Kohli, Kuldeep Yadav and Yuzvendra Chahal.
Virat Kohli has hit two centuries in three ODIs, but somewhere, he has been overshadowed by the spin twins, who have picked 21 wickets out the 28 South African wickets to fall in the three ODIs. Chahal has even picked a five wicket haul, while both spinners picked four wickets each in the last ODI.
This has made everyone take up wrist spin it seems, as Shreyas Iyer and Akshar Patel were seen practicing wrist spin during the pre-game practice. Even Hardik Pandya was seen trying his hand at wrist spin, off a long run up.
BCCI put up a video of the players trying wrist spin on their official Twitter account with caption, “Spin sure is the flavour this series and almost everyone has turned 'wristy’”
