SA v IND 2018: 4th ODI- India aiming for series win even as South Africa gets AB de Villiers boost

India leads the six match ODI series 3-0.

AB de Villiers set to make his return to the SA ODI team after missing the first 3 ODIs

Today’s One-day International between India and South Africa will be the fourth match of the series and it will be the famous ‘pink’ ODI. The Proteas team will be wearing a pink uniform to spread awareness about breast cancer.

India is 3-0 up in the series and will be looking to win this ODI and win the series. However, on the other hand, South Africa will get a big boost in form of AB de Villiers, who was declared fit to play in this match. This will come as a big confidence enhancer for the Proteas team who are struggling with injuries to their main players.

India on the other hand, will be aiming to keep the foot on the throttle and will look to win the match and sealing the series in Johannesburg itself. South Africa has been unable to find an answer to either Virat Kohli or India’s spin twins. The duo of Chahal and Kuldeep has picked up 21 out 28 Proteas wickets to fall in the series so far and it shows their dominance.

South Africa needs to win this match to keep the hopes of an even contest alive. The Joburg pitch is known for leaking runs by buckets and it is the same ground where AB de Villiers smashed the 31 ball century and South Africa hit 438 against the West Indies.

India will be looking to chase on this ground, which doesn’t change much during the course of the game.

Whatever happens, we are in for a cracker of a cricket game between two of the best ODI teams.
