MS Dhoni became first Indian wicket-keeper to affect 400 dismissals. South African captain Aiden Markram became his 400th scalp in Cape Town during the third ODI.

Dhoni got his 400th dismissal in the 17th over of the South African innings, when chinaman bowler Kuldeep deceived Markram with a tossed up delivery and Dhoni removed the bails.

He is overall the fourth wicketkeeper to do so after Sri Lanka’s Kumar Sangakkara, Australia’s Adam Glichrist and South Africa’s Mark Boucher.

Dhoni took 315 matches to get to the mark. Sangakkara, who tops this list, had 482 dismissals from 404 matches while Gilchrist and Boucher were involved in 472 and 424 dismissals respectively.

Abhishek Bachchan congratulated Dhoni on Instagram for the achievement. Abhishek wrote that he wants him to break more records in future.
