Indian skipper –Virat Kohli has been continuing his sizzling form with the willow in the limited-overs cricket, hammering his 34th One-day International ton to take India to straight third win in the six-match ODI series against South Africa at Newlands, Cape Town on Wednesday (February 7).

In his match-winning knock (160* off 159 balls), the dashing right-hander cracked 12 boundaries and 2 sixes, as well as forged a 140-run stand with left-handed opener Shikhar Dhawan (76 off 63 balls) for the second wicket to help India to post 303 on the board.

Then, the Indian spin twins –Kuldeep Yadav and Yuzvendra Chahal webbed their magic once again on the South African batsmen,  finishing up with figures of 4/23 and 4/46 respectively, while Jasprit Bumrah picked the remaining two wickets. Thus India clinched the 3rd ODI by 214-runs and took a 3-0 lead in the six-match series.

Seeing yet another Virat Kohli master class, cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar went onto social media to congratulate the Delhi lad on his recent milestone in One Day cricket. He is now only behind the Master Blaster in the list of the most ODI centuries with his 34th ODI hundred.

Now, the 29-year-old needs only 15 ODI ton to equal Tendulkar’s 49 ODI hundreds record.

Tendulkar took to Twitter and wrote, “Stepping out on the field and scoring centuries has become a regularity for @imVkohli. Congratulations on your 34th ODI ton! Keep the runs flowing always. #INDvsSA”
