IPL 2018: Fans troll CSK's over- aged squad

The much-excited Indian Premier League (IPL) Auction 2018 have finished last week which saw many expensive buys, while some caped-or-uncapped players across the world unsold during the auction in Bengaluru. After the conclusion of the two-day mega IPL auction, all eight franchisees must be happy with the work that they have done throughout the auction.

While Chennai Super Kings (CSK) are returning to the IPL folds with the upcoming 11th edition of the lucrative T20 league along with Rajasthan Royals (RR) after serving two-years ban.

It is known that the South Indian IPL franchise believed in building their core first, as CSK have retained their star players –MS Dhoni, Suresh Raina and Ravindra Jadeja, while they have picked up total 22 players during the auction in Bengaluru for the upcoming season.

However, as always, the strengths and weaknesses of new squads gathered by the franchisees have been debated and often caused banter on the social media. But it was –CSK, whose player selection strategy for IPL 2018 was highly trolled by fans on Twitter.

Actually, there are most players bought by CSK were over the age of 30, which left fans for a lighthearted take on their selection strategy.
