India and South Africa will face each other in the third Test at Wanderers on 24th January. The visitors should be ready to get another bouncy pitch, as said by the curator Butuel Buthelezi.

Buthelezi, in a chat with Hindustan Times, suggested that it will serve good to the pacers. The series is already sealed by the hosts, as they have taken an unassailable lead of 2-0.

India isn't going to get another pitch like Centurion, assured the curator at Wanderers. Buthelezi said, “At Wanderers, we have always had fast and bouncy wickets. There is no question of preparing something else."

Butuel has worked at Wanderers since 1984 and knows the ground really well. Even though he has worked there for long, Buthelezi got to prepare his first pitch during England’s visit in January 2016.

He had worked under former curator Chris Scott and become the second black African to be the head curator of a Test venue in South Africa in October 2015.

Buthelezi is confident that the pitch will assist pacers on all days. He was also asked if the South African skipper has asked him to prepare the pitch in a certain way? “No he hasn’t,” said Buthelezi. “And even if he would ask, I would prepare the pitch my way,” he added laughing.
