It was really not a good time for Virat Kohli and Indian fans, as the men in Blue lost their first Test series under Virat Kohli's captaincy leading to various controversies after his post-match interaction with the media. Various Indian cricketer experts have voiced against his aggressive on-field behavior during the course of the second Test match in Centurion. 

First, the right-hander was reprimanded by the ICC after found him to breach the Code of Conduct for misbehaving on the field at SuperSport Park, then his fiery press conference after Test series loss with Centurion Test defeat at the hands of the Proteas side, which added fuel to the fire of critics.

During the post-match press conference in Centurion, Kohli was seen furious and is not impressed with his strategies being questioned, including South African conditions and Playing XI by the reporters.

The star batsman’s that attitude did not go well and drew severe critics from the likes of former Indian greats Madan Lal and Mohammad Azharuddin, who were really surprised by his behaviour with media.

Azahar told Sports Tak, “A captain’s job is to defend his decision-making and I believe this was the reason why he was defending himself and got agitated during the press conference. But getting angry over a reporter’s question was not at all correct. It is a reporter’s right to ask questions. If you like a question you answer it, and if you don’t like it just don’t answer. Virat Kohli will have to understand how to handle the press when things are not going your way.”

Meanwhile, Madan Lal also agreed with some reporters, who were questioning India’s playing XI in the Centurion Test, as well as, felt Kohli shouldn’t have lost his cool during the conference.

He signed off by saying, “Virat shouldn’t have lost his cool. This was nothing; more questions will be asked if India go on to lose the third Test. I feel it wasn’t India’s best XI that played in the Centurion Test.”
