Team India are in tatters going into the fifth day’s play at SuperSport Park in Centurion. While chasing South Africa’s target of 287 in the fourth innings, the world No. 1 Test team are 3 wickets down for just 35 runs and on the verge of conceding the first Test series having won 9 on the trot. No wonder, former India opener Virender Sehwag feels that Virat Kohli and company desperately need the help of rain god.

Ahead of the last day’s play, Sehwag took to his official twitter account and shared an image of a clip from super-hit Bollywood movie ‘Lagaan’, starring the Mr. Perfectionist – Aamir Khan, in which the actor can be seen praying for rain.

“India have to hope for this today in Centurion !” Viru wrote in the video caption.

In contrast, Sehwag’s former team-mate and one of India’s legendary batsmen VVS Laxman tweeted that Test cricket is all about displaying your character and hoped that the Indian batsmen will exhibit in abundance on Day 5.

“Test cricket gives you an opportunity to showcase your true character and comeback. Its a challenging task for India and I am sure they will exhibit lot of self belief & fight.Have small targets in mind and try to achieve it. My best wishes #SAvIND”, Laxman wrote in his official Twitter page.

India have already lost the first Test in Cape Town by 72 runs and hence trailing 1-0 in the three-match Test series. The third and final Test is scheduled to be played at New Wanderers Stadium, Johannesburg from January 24.
