Indian skipper Virat Kohli was in full swing with the willow during the Day 3 of the ongoing second Test of the three-match series against South Africa in Centurion.

Although, Kohli failed to impress his fans during the first Test and became the reason for criticism due to his poor dismissals in Cape Town, this time Delhi-lad bounced back strongly and set some records with his magnificent knock of 153 off 217 at SuperSport Park.

The 29-year-old dashing right-hander has overtaken the record of Sachin Tendulkar (110 innings) and became the fourth fastest batsmen in the world to amass 21 hundreds in just 109 innings, standing only behind Steve Smith 105, Sunil Gavaskar 98 and Don Bradman 56.

With the Centurion ton, Kohli also became the only second Asian captain after Tendulkar, who hammered a wonderful 169 in Cape Town in 1997, to hit a ton in the rainbow nation, as well as the first overseas batsman to score a hundred at Centurion.

During his outstanding innings in Centurion, the stylish Indian batsman added another feather to his cap, as Kohli surpassed former Australian skipper Michael Clarke and joined legendary batsman Sir Bradman’s record of eight 150 plus score as captain in Tests.

The Indian run-machine achieved this feat in his career's 65th Test match, while Clarke is the third man in the list with seven 150 plus scores as captain.

On the other hand, Sri Lanka’s Mahela Jayawardene, West Indies' Brian Lara, and South Africa's Graeme Smith achieved this feat seven times in their illustrious career as captain in Test cricket.
