SA v IND 2018: Watch – Team India turns to a new innovative exercise drill before second Test

The second Test between India and South Africa will be played at SuperSport Park, Centurion.

Team India is preparing hard in order to perform to their optimal level in the second Test at Centurion. They lost the first Test at Cape Town by 72 runs, as the batting failed against a fiery South African pace attack.

While preparing for the second Test, which begins on Saturday; Team India was involved in a unique fielding drill under the watchful eyes of the coach. Team India, led by Virat Kohli, was seen warming up at the practice grounds with pacer Ishant Sharma, Rohit Sharma and others involved in an exercise   which saw them chasing each other with different colored bibs with them and snatching the bibs and then exchanging it.

 

India had lost the first Test despite having a good start against South Africa, as they reduced them to 12/3 on the morning of the first day. But AB de Villiers and Faf du Plessis hit 60 odd runs each to dig Proteas out of problem, taking them to 286. In reply, India found themselves in problem at 92/7, but Hardik Pandya’s 93 took them to 209. South Africa were bowled out for 130 in the second innings and set India a target of 208 to win.

Vernon Philander took 6/42 in the second innings and 9/75 in the match to demolish India for 135 and win the match for South Africa by 72 runs.
