Proteas pace sensation Kagiso Rabada has moved up a place to clinch to the top spot in ICC’s latest released Test rankings for bowlers. Rabada replaced England’s pace spearhead James Anderson from the pinnacle owing to his stellar show against India in the recently concluded Test match against India in Cape Town.
The 22-year-old has dismissed 5 Indian batters at Newlands to help South Africa beat India by 72 runs. Consequently, the Proteas took a 1-0 lead in a three-match Test series. Among Rabada’s victims in the first innings were Rohit Sharma and the inform all-rounder Hardik Pandya, who scored a crucial 93 in the first innings.

Indian captain Virat Kohli, who had a poor outing against the Proteas in the first Test at Cape Town, slipped one place to the third spot with 880 rating points whereas Kane Williamson (855) and Cheteshwar Pujara (848) are remain at No. 4 and 5 respectively.
