South African pace super head –Dale Steyn, who made an international return with Cape Town Test after a gape of one year, left the national selectors spoilt for choices after he was ruled out of the remainder of the Test series with a heel injury.

Although the hosts managed to win the first Test by 72-runs against India without Steyn, South Africa will definitely look for other pacers in place of injured Dale to add extra pace to their attack.

Now, the national selectors have called up the fast bowlers Duanne Olivier and Lungi Ngidi as a dual replacement for Steyn for the second Test, starting from January 13 at Centurion.

It will be the first Test for Ngidi, while Oliver already made his Test debut in 2016-17 and has played five Tests for South Africa against Sri Lanka, England and Bangladesh.

South African Squad for 2nd Test:

Faf du Plessis (c), Deal Elgar, Aiden Markram, Hashim Amla, Temba Bavuma, Theunis de Bruyne, Quinton de Kock (wk), Keshav Maharaj, Morne Morkel, Chris Morris, Vernon Philander, Kagiso Rabada, Andile Phehlukwayo, Duanne Oliver, Lungi Ngidi.
