SA vs IND 2018: Wriddhiman Saha breaks MS Dhoni's record

Wriddhiman Saha only behind Jack Russell and AB de Villiers, who have 10-catches in a Test match.

Wriddhiman Saha –ace Indian wicket-keeper batsman, on Monday, becomes the first Indian gloveman, surpassing legendary keeper MS Dhoni, and fifth in the world to take 10-catches in a Test match.

Saha achieved the feat during the fourth Day of the Cape Town Test between South Africa and India, taking 5-5 catches in both innings and broke Dhoni's record of most dismissal in a Test.

The 33-year-old Bengal keeper, who has been enjoying a magnificent time behind the stumps in the Test since Dhoni’s retirement from the longest format of the game and on the verge to become the first choice for limited overs cricket, completed his 10th catch by made victim South Africa's Morne Morkel off Bhuvneshwar Kumar in the second innings of the first Test at Newlands.

He overtakes Dhoni’s 9 catches against Australia in 2014 and Nayan Mongia’s 9 catches against South Africa in 1996 & Pakistan in 1999, and joined the elite club of most dismissals.

With the 10 catches, Saha has now joined New Zealand's Robert Taylor and Australian great Adam Gilchrist and only behind Jack Russell and AB De Villiers, who have 10-catches, in this illustrious list.
