Indian fans enjoyed the 99-run stand between Hardik Pandya and Bhuvneshwar Kumar. The partnership not only saved face for India, as it came when they were crawling on 92/7, but also because of the chit-chat of Pandya and Bhuvneshwar amid of the tensed situation, proved funny enough for fans to enjoy.

The stump mic picked the conversation between the two and at one time, fans just wanted to listen to them and not the commentators.

Morne Morkel was into the attack while Pandya was at the strike during the 46th over of the innings. The third ball bowled by Morkel was a length delivery, placed well outside the off stump and the Baroda lad let the ball go its way to the wicketkeeper.

He immediately then looked that Bhuvneshwar with a cheeky smile, who was at the other end of the crease and asked him in Hindi, "Ek du kya" (Should I smash him, huh?). And it was well translated by Harsha Bhogle from the commentary box and he laughed his way while translating the question.

A funnier interaction was when Bhuvneshwar asked Hardik to keep a close eye on Dale Steyn's seam because he had no clue what's going on. "Iska dekh liyo. Mujhe to samajh nahi aa raha hai kya ho raha hai," he said to Pandya.

India were eventually bowled out on 209. Proteas came in to bat with a lead of 77 runs. They now stand on a lead by 142 runs at the end of day 2. Pandya impressed with the ball too, as he dismissed both the openers on day 2.
