The first Test between India and South Africa will begin in Cape Town on January 5, 2018.

Team India had to practice indoors for a day or two due to rains

Team India is really practicing hard ahead of the first Test at Cape Town on January 5, 2018.

The no.1 ranked Test team is looked forward to creating history by winning the Test series in South Africa under the leadership of Virat Kohli. Team India opted to have practice sessions instead of playing a two day practice match and the batsmen and bowlers are sweating it out.

BCCI posted videos of Indian bowlers going at it in the nets in Cape Town.

Nice little rhythm the bowlers are getting into at the moment #TeamIndia #SAvIND."

The success of Indian team depends on the fast bowlers comprising of Mohammed Shami, Umesh Yadav, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Ishant Sharma, Jasprit Bumrah and Hardik Pandya. While the spinners- R Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja are most likely to play the support role.

Jasprit Bumrah, who is slated to make his Test debut in the first Test said, "The first thing that comes to the mind when you are touring South Africa is bouncy wickets. But that is no surety of what kind of pitch you would get in the game."

India has won only two Tests out of 17 played in South Africa since the very first tour in 1992.
